HomeSenza categoriaAmalfi Coast: best holidays in Italy

With its scented lemon groves, flower-strewn cliffsides, bobbing fishing boats and tumbling, sherbet hued tons, the Amalfi Coast is one of the best places where spend your holidays in Italy. Others may argue that the title belongs to Liguria’s Cinque Terre or Calabria’s Costa Viola.

Amalfi Coast Italy

The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometre stretch of coast south of the Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. A popular holiday destination, it is characterized by steep cliffs and a rugged coastline dotted with small beaches and pastel-coloured fishing villages.

The Amalfi Coast is in the south of Italy and is it is a collection of cities ( Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano ecc. ecc.) For example, Positano is the perl in the pack, Positano is the coast’s most photogenic and expensive town. Its steeply stacked house is a medley of peaches, pinks and terracottas, and its near-vertical streets are lined with voguish shop displays, jewellery stalls, elegant hotels and more. So technically when you want to go to Amalfi Coast you can choose a big range of cities and if you want to spend Amalfi Coast holidays, you should take one week of time.

When to go to the south of Italy we really would advise you to take a house or apartment through Airbnb because staying one week in that zone can be so expensive if you choose a Hotel.

Amalfi

It is hard to grasp that pretty little Amalfi, is a part of Amalfi coast with its sun-filled piazzas and small beach, was once a maritime superpower with a population of more than 70.000. Today, although the resident population cantly during summer, when day-trippers pour in by the coachload. But what to see in Amalfi?

  1. Cattedrale di Sant’Andrea
  2. Museo della carta
  3. Museo dell’arsenale
  4. All the beaches

how to get there?

The best way to go to Amalfi Coast is to start from Naples. In fact, the path is 2 hours if you go by train ( you can check the trenitalia website).
