City Wall

Lucca’s monumental walls built around the old city in the 16th and 17th centuries and defended by 126 cannons remain in almost perfect condition. Twelve meters high and 4km in length, the rampant is crowned with a tree-lined footpath that looks down on the old town and out towards the Apuane Alps – the perfect spot to stroll, cycle, run and inhale shot of local life.

Cattedrale di San Martino

Cattedrale of San Martino is one of the best churches to see in Lucca. Lucca’s predominantly Romanesque cathedral dates to the start of the 11th century. Its stunning facade is constructed in the prevailing Lucca-Pisan style and designed to accommodate the pre-existing campanile. The interior was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries with a Gothic flourish. The Volto Santo (literally Holy Countenance).

Museo della Catterale

Next door to the cathedral, this museum safeguards elaborate gold and silver decoratios made for the Volvo Santo, including a 17th century crown and a 19th-century scepte. A combinated ticket covering museum and cathedral sacristy cost 6/4 ueros.
